Here's Douglas an eleven year old boy who is aiming to be Ireland's answer to Gok Wan. He appeared on the Late Late Toy show last Friday (oooh so excited for Christmas now!) and was one of the best kids Ive seen appear on this show. He was so confident in himself and seems to know exactly what he wants from life at 11! I can see big things happening for this boy hes a natural in front of the camera.

RIP Leslie Nielsen

So sad to hear today that the legend Leslie Nielsen passed away at the age of 84. He was such a brilliant comedic actor I don't know how many times I have seen Airplane its one of my favourite movies. He stole that movie with his dead pan comedy and some of the greatest quotes, everyone knows "Don't call me Shirley". He will be greatly missed.

Bye Bye Katie was not nice knowing you : ) The most annoying xfactor contestant EVER has finally got the boot. Lil pixie looking Katie Waissel got the least amount of votes on Sunday night and because it was a double elimination she didn't get the chance to do a song in the sing off, well she got enough bloody chances to last her a lifetime how many times was she in the bottom two?? Oh and VVagner went aswell so suppose it was time for him even if his rendition of Creep was genius!

PS The person putting the phone calls through on the Xtra Factor deserves a raise I'm loving all the callers ringing in and finally giving Cheryl some stick. I nearly had to switch off a few weeks ago when every caller would tell Cheryl how in love they were with her before asking her some shit question like "How does she pick such amazing songs for her girls while looking so gorgeous?". That caller laying into her about Wagner was television gold, the mask is beginning to slip Chezza.

Cheryl Cole has gone back to her roots it seems. On Saturday nights xfactor she showed of her new(old) brown hair and a shorter cut than last week. Hooray those ratty hair extensions have finaly gone for a while (give her a minute till Nicole Sherzingers about again they'll be back in in a jiffy). The gold dress was nice but a bit boring just typical Cheryl nothing new where as Danni wore a gorgeous red kind of chiffon dress that draped in all the right places. Not so mad on the shoes but still gorgeous as ever Danni and I loved the Grecian hair do.

Woah Nicki Minaj what are you not wearing?

Nicki Minaj rocked this get up at a concert in New York to promote her new album Pink Friday. The female rapper is known for her out there outfits but this one is just crazy! She is known for her ample rump which if its to be believed isn't really her own.... hmm it does look a bit suspect on top of the skinnier legs but we will probably never know as these celebrities don't like to admit to any plastic surgery cough Victoria Beckham and those tennis ball boobs of hers.

Here's Rihanna performing with her the same night. I think its funny that Rihanna looks covered up next to Minaj when normally its Rih Raw wearing the slutty get up maybe Nicki told her it was her night and if theres going to be one ho on show it would be her.

I Want This Book For Christmas

Jay Z has released a new book of his memoirs called Decoded. It is not a tell all auto biography like the ones Jordan and Kerry Katona whore out to the public once a year so you wont be reading any juicy details about his marriage to Beyonce. Instead he is 'decoding' his famous rap lyrics and telling the stories that influenced them. He also writes about his tough times growing up in a tough neighbourhood, eventually becoming a drug dealer before becoming a hip hop superstar.

Ive always loved Jay Zs music and have a lot of his songs on my ipod (yeah Irish white girl rocking out to Jay Z!) He is one of the few rappers out there whose lyrics actually catch my attention and make me stop and listen. He is by far one of the cleverest lyricists out there and to think he never writes any of these lyrics down he just spits them out.

Oh No Danni What Are You Wearing?? Cheryl Wins This One

Danni Minogue normaly gets it so right and looked great on Saturday night in her brown maxi dress but tonight on the Xfactor results show she didn't get it so right. She wore a one shouldered black tiered dress with white trim which even sounds disgusting. It looked like a flamenco dress she brought back from holidays in Spain. But Ms Minogue normally looks stunning so she can get away with it this time. I'm not so crazy about Charyl's dress either, the gold sparkly slip underneath almost ruins it and are they stripper shoes shes wearing?? But if I had to pick between the two it would be Cheryl who wins this one.....sadly

So Sad Paije Richardson Has Been Voted Off The Xfactor

It was a tough sing off tonight on the Xfactor Paije Richardson and Cher Lloyd were in the bottom two. I cant believe Katie and VVagner escaped again who is voting for them?? Well VVagner I can understand people want to piss off Simon Cowell but Katie is just all over the place with the public I don't know whether shes staying or going. I'm gutted Paije went I thought he sang fantastic in the sing off, he reminds me of a cross between Ceelo and Andre 3000 not Lenny Henry like Louis Walsh likes to compare him to. I'm still not sold on Cher and I really don't understand why she sang a song she only sang two weeks ago in the competition. 

Why didn't Louis vote to keep Paije in? He was his biggest supporter from the first audition I'm guessing Simo had a word with him, he loves that Cher just like his little pet Cheryl.

So Louis Walsh has always been a bit of a bitch its seems not just on a the Xfactor judging panel. Westlife have been speaking of the tough times they had to endure in the early days of their career oh boo hoo lads but Lou Lou came out with some priceless put downs to whip them into proper boy band dolls. Here's some priceless ones.

Much Better Katie Much Better

Katie Waissel went and took my advice, well maybe not my advice but Id like to think that she some how read my post about her getting some new hair hmm maybe not but anyway the girl has gone and got rid of the bleached mess of hay she called hair. This is much better but I wonder why they didn't do it sooner? She has worn wigs on a few of the Saturday nights so maybe shes been thinking about this for a while. I think the brown suits her so much more and the short cropped cut suits her pixie features. She also sang a lot better tonight it was a nice stripped back performance no gimmicks but in saying that I want to see her gone tomorrow night. I think their is much more deserving singers in the competition obviously not including VVagner in that statement.

Adele 'Someone Like You' This Is So Beautiful

This is so stunningly beautiful this girls voice is incredible. I cant believe shes only 22 she is so soulful. I recently only digged out her debut album the other day after being reminded of her cover of 'make you feel my love' after watching Gamu perform it on the xfactor.  I than seen her on Jools Holland tonight and was blown away by this song its just gorgeous so full of emotion, I cant wait for her new album to come out in January looking forward to it.

Fade Street Is Fast Becoming Must See TV Its So Bad Its Good

So RTE has gone and made their own version of The Hills centering around four girls living the high life in Dublin city. Now at first I was cringing thinking this will be four SoCoDu girls from Dalkey with annoying fake American accents walking around with uggs and juicy couture bags, well I was probably not that far off  but their get up seems a bit more sophisticated than the latter. 

So pretty much its the hills set in Dublin no really it is the hills in Dubin the story lines are exactly the same. Two of the main characters Vogue and Louise (2 blondies with dark eyebrows and one has a manly voice) work in a magazine sitting next to each other in front of macs just like Whitney and Lauren, Louise has already got into trouble with her boss as Lauren did and looks just like a knock off version of her too. Theirs too many similarities to list but I love it already its a complete guilty pleasure. Its great seeing Dublin shot so beautifully and it all seems so familiar. Dublin really is a small place I have already met two of the people on the show from years gone by I'm just waiting to see who else I know that will pop up on my TV screen. 

Superstar Rihanna spends many a night reading Blogs... about herself

Popstrel Rihanna with her lovely new red hair let rip on some not so nice bloggers. I found this funny since Ive just started blogging myself and cant really say I agree with all she said. I most certainly don't hate my life or my appearance but I'm guessing shes aiming this towards the likes of Perez Hilton and Bossip so I can understand where shes coming from Bossip never give her a break. But I do have to wonder whats Rihanna even doing on these blogs? Someone so successful why is she even reading this crap this makes me think shes a little insecure in herself that she feels the need to know what celebrity bloggers think about her.

Jay Z wants to sign Cher and KATIE WAISSEL WTF??

No No No I hope this isnt true! Okay I can understand Jiggas interest in Cher but Katie really? I hope this is just the media stretching this story. Hopefully as soon as xfactor finishes she will go the way of Butlens like many xfactor finalists and sink into oblivion. I can imagine Jay Z wanting to work with Cher but I doubt he will ever even get the chance to sign her, Mr Simon Cowell will not be letting this little gold mine go anywhere anytime soon. Im still not convinced with Chers "street style" it just seems so phony to me so please Jay Z your my favourite rapper please stay well clear of this little lady maybe for a few years untill she grows a style of her own.

New Amy Winehouse Track 'Its my party' cover

Amy Winehouse - It's My Party (feat. Quincy Jones)

Amy Winehouse is back with a cover of Lesley Gore's "It's My Party" feat Quincy Jones. She worked on this track with Mark Ronson. I was super excited when I heard about it after the success of their collaboration on Valerie. So some how I have only stumbled across it today and I don't know if I'm really liking it. I feel a bit underwhelmed. I love the original and I thought Amy would sound great covering it but I think she sounds a bit all over the place on it (please say its not the drugs again Amy) I know that this is Amy's style from seeing footage of her singing live can be a bit 'uncomfortable' at times. But I'm just glad shes back and I cant wait to hear a full album from her. Back to Black is still a classic and always will be.

The NERD front man allowed W magazine inside his Miami home to take some interesting pictures. Ive seen a few photos of his home before so the colourful features aren't such a shock. Pharrell has said in the past that he is a big kid so that may explain the colourful Takashi murakami piece and the really tiny piano, maybe he wants his son to follow in his musical footsteps.

Stunning Dunnes Stores dress

I bought this dress in black yesterday from Dunnes Stores or Doonnes as we like to call it over here, for anyone who doesn't know of Dunnes its basically the Irish version of Primark with slightly better quality in the fabric. It is apart of the Savida collection and only comes in black now as Ive heard through the grape vine from a very good source the silver/grey version has been cancelled for some reason. I had my heart set on the grey one since I saw the picture of it but decided to try on the black one since I had been obsessing about this dress for the past month. Well in one word it is STUNNING!

The fit is amazing so flattering for a curvy girl like me with boobs and hips it makes your waist look tiny. Its slightly too long but I'm going to get it taken up. I'm so happy with this dress and at €60 its an absolute bargain and its a classic shape, I can see this being part of my wardrobe for many years to come.

TMZ has reported that Shae Haley a member of the group NERD has gotten hitched over the weekend in Miami to Jackie Garcia. Guests included band mate Pharrell Williams who was his best man and singer Chris Brown who performed for guests during the reception. Congrats to Shae.

Influenced by Minni Mouse Chezza?

I turned on xfactor late last night after Westlifes Zzzzzz performance and caught Cheryl Cole from behind but all I could see was a big mound of what looked like hair sitting atop her head. On a closer look it looks like she took inspiration from minni mouse with her hair styled in two big bows on either side of her head. And she was doing so well her dress was stunning (gold star for that Chez) but this hair was way too fussy with such a show stopping dress and the earrings look a bit fussy too. Less is more Cheryl. Danni wins again!

Oh Katie your still here so I suppose its time you got those roots sorted out. I know roots are in fashion at the moment but not like this its normaly brown roots with honey blond highlights alla Danni Minougue but this is just ridiculous. Its worse than Josie in Big Brother and in fairness she was stuck in a house but you lady have no excuse! Its not just the roots its the stupid hairstyle it does nothing for your little pixie head and would it kill you to put a bit of conditioner in those curls sheesh...

Theres something about Ceelo his voice is so soulful. When I heard he had covered one of my favourite groups Kings of Leon I went to check it out. Im not such a fan of this particular song and thought I wouldnt think much of this cover at all but I was blown away after two listens(you need two sometimes). I really listen to the words when Ceelo sings it for some reason the kols version wasnt sinking in for me. I think Paije on the xfactor would sing this beautifully he reminds me of a cross between Andre 3000 and Ceelo, now if only I had a number for Danni to let her know!

The music industry is living through places like youtube right now and this is one of my favourite things  to come from online videos, seeing artists do acoustic sets and including covers you never thought you would hear them do.

Thats a bad dress Jennifer Love Hewitt

Erm whats going on with Jennifer Love Hewitt I havent seen her in a while, she looks different or is it just a poor choice of dress? The actress was pictured at an LA event looking not so great. With a sign in the background with Chanel stamped all over it this get up just looks tacky.  The ruffles are too fussy especially for a busty girl like Jennifer and the shoes just look clumpy. Im hoping this is just a bad picture of her.



X Factor is officially Fix Factor

Katie Waissel survives to sing another day oh goodie.... This show is becoming more of a joke every Sunday night I know I know I  should just not watch it if it bothers me that much but its not like theres much else on plus I do like a bit of panto. I was convinced anyone who went up against Katie would be safe bar VVagner but I was oh so wrong poor Aiden Grimshaw got the boot when it went to deadlock.

Aiden was a bit of a hit and miss to me I didnt really get him and his survival performance really wasnt great but in saying that he did not deserve to go. I think if an act has been in the bottom two atleast three times than they should automaticaly go on their third go the public arent keeping them in for a reason Simon! Katie might aswell not even bother singing people dont like her but she has no need to worry it doesnt look like shes going anywhere anytime soon.

Something Classic Ike and Tina Turner Nutbush City Limits 1974

I remember seeing this on Vh1 a few years ago and just being amazed at the performace and the song I just thought it was so cool and retro. Ive always been a fan of Tina Turner but this video just made me love her even more like look at her getting into the song and dancing all crazy. You can see how much someone like Beyonce was influenced by this great woman.

Kanye West My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy leaked

Kanye Wests new album has recently leaked so I thought Id give it a listen. I normaly hate this new phenomenon where artists leak their albums a week or two before the release date I just dont understand it. They moan about people 'robbing' their music but yet they allow it to leak?? But anyhoo so I gave it a listen and hmm I dunno yet if I like it so much. It might take it a few more listens for me to get into it.

'All of the lights' stands out to me it features Rihanna and (don't be afraid) Fergie. Its catchy as hell and Rihanna sounds great on it and Fergie some how doesnt ruin it fair play to her for that by the way. I also like 'Devil in a new dress' and Nicki Minaj kills it (thats a good thing) on 'monster' even outdoing Jigga.

Cheryl's finaly gone and got it right on the Xfactor

No nothing to do with her judging shes still crap at that, shes finaly worn something nice on the xfactor! For a very beautiful girl she somehow gets it wrong a hell of alot. She wore a long gold dress with beaded detail that looked almost mermaidesque and her hair was alot better too. She wore it tied back with a french braid at the crown of her head. I think its time those hair extensions came out Chezza love they look ridiculous down. I liked her hair a while back when she had it just past her shoulders.

Now in saying this she was still trashed by the gorgeous Danni Minogue. This woman can do no wrong in my eyes she always looks classy and elegant. Im loving the grecian style white dress worn with the turquoise earings. Im in love with her hair colour too the honey blonde highlights and the choppy bob look great on her.

Kim Kardasian in awful dress

Oh Kim what are you wearing? She appeard on the Jay Leno show in brown/beige/camel dress with matching shoes. Im no fan of Kim but shes a stunning girl with a banging figure, respect for the curves are due. But this dress is awful for her figure and does nothing for her skin tone its just bland and washes her out. Sometimes no amount of beauty will save you from a fashion faux pas.

Katie Waissel had better go Sunday night

I do not like this girl at all her performance tonight was awful. The only time I like Katies singing is when shes in the sing off and sings songs like Etta James but to be honest shes not very likeable. Has Simon gone deaf or is it really the fix factor? His comments were nothing but praise for the singer maybe if she wasnt one of Cheryls acts he would give his 'real'opinion or maybe its those money signs going off in his head. I have a fear Paije could be in the bottom two (sniff wipes tear from eyes) I really hope not but if hes up against this one he had better be saved or I wont be a happy at all christ even if VVagner goes up against her he had better be saved she needs to go already!

Can xfactor stylists please stop styling Cher Lloyd like Cheryl Cole

On tonights xfactor Cher wore a pair of trousers by Sass and bide and guess who wore them not so long ago? Thats right her idol Cheryl Cole wore them in her 3 words video. Obviously celebrities just like us mere mortals will be caught wearing the same clothes but come on should they not be styling her to make her stand out and helping mould her into her own style? The hair is exactly the same and the name is pretty similiar and from what Ive read she wants to change her name to Cher L???!!

Getting back to what the xfactor is really about I loved Chers performance tonight its the first time Ive liked her since the she sang turn my swag on at the auditions. I think it was because there was no Billy Barry dancers looking cheesy behind her. Anybody Irish will know exactly what Im talking about.

Speaking of swag will the judges ahem Simon stop saying the word swagger its just like when your mom says the word cool its just not cool anymore is it?

NERD Nothing

If theres one album you need to pick up or download this week its NERD Nothing. Im a big fan of these guys and cant recommend this album enough. If like me you were a little dissappointed in their last album seeing sounds than you will be pleasently surprised with this new one. It was delayed and pushed back for months and some how I think this was a good thing you can really tell they put their heart and soul into this one. It has touches of In search of and Fly or die but you can hear their growth as a band, this is one band that isnt going away any time soon.

Nicola Roberts and Cheryl Cole at the Pride of Britian awards

Heres two fifths of girls aloud at the Pride of Britian awards the other night. Kimberly and Sarah happened to be there also but were photographed seperately (me thinks this is because the whole Nadine feud). Nicola is one of the best dressed celebs in my eyes shes really come into her own. Those shoes and the hair are amazing! She shows up the nations sweetheart Cheryl Cole which I suppose isnt very hard at the moment judging by some of the fashion choices she has worn on the x factor. Danni is thrashing her in the style stakes!

So my first post

Okay not sure if theres anybody even reading this out there it may just go out into the blogosphere and no will ever notice it. I decided to post up a blog since I havent really found any out there that appeals to me. I find some blogs just focus on one thing may it be music, art or fashion, well I want to write about a bit of everything and I want to bend genres and mix things up a bit! oh and yes my spelling can be pretty woeful at times but I dont care as long as its not text speak does it really matter?!
